Stuffed French Bread

Stuffed bread!? YUM. Yum indeed. Not only is it yummy, it is simple. Simple dishes are the best right? The only thing is that there wasn’t a wow factor. It needed another layer of flavor. So, give it a try, experiment and let me know what you found that added another layer of flavor!
Stuffed French Bread

  1. 1 loaf french bread
  2. 1 lb lean ground beef
  3. 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
  4. 1/2 cup chopped celery
  5. 1 tsp minced garlic
  6. 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  7. 2 tbsp milk
  8. 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  9. Salt and pepper, to taste
  10. 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  11. 1/2 tbsp chopped parsley {optional}
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Slice the french bread in half, lengthwise.
  3. Scoop out the bread in the center of each halves. Place bread into a large bowl and tear into smaller pieces.
  4. Set the two halves of french bread onto a large baking sheet and set aside.
  5. Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet. Drain any grease.
  6. Add chopped celery and garlic to skillet. Cook until the celery is tender.
  7. Add the cream of mushroom soup, milk and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Stir and cook mixture for another 5 or so minutes.
  8. Add the mixture, shredded cheese {and parsley} to the bowl full of bread. Stir to combine.
  9. Once combined, evenly spread mixture into one half of the french bread.
  10. Place the other half of the french bread on top and bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
